Marquetry 'Book' Low Table
An imaginative design for a large low table in the form of three books, placed one on top of another. Highly detailed marquetry of a Japanese scene in the C19 western european style on the face of the top book. A number of large hidden compartments are ingeniously placed within the body of the books. Marquetry also covers the spines to create the book titles and the decorative detailing and motifs.
