Aryma Marquetry Bespoke Cabinet for Luxury Brand Alfred Dunhill

December 2011: Alfred Dunhill Antarctic Shackleton Marquetry Whisky Cabinet

Inspired by British explorer Ernest Shackleton's Antarctic expeditions, Alfred Dunhill present the Antarctic Whisky Cabinet decorated with a highly detailed marquetry map of Antarctica by Aryma.

In 1909 at the end of their legendary Nimrod expedition, Shackleton's crew abandoned three crates of Mackinlay Rare Old Highland Malt to the Antarctic winter.  Unearthed in snow almost 100 years later, the whisky was subsequently analysed and replicated by Whyte & Mackay, the owners of the Mackinlay brand.

The hand-crafted oak cabinet contains three bottles of this whisky, as well as every luxury item the whisky connoisseur could require and a rare 1909 first edition copy of 'The Heart of the Antarctic' book, chronicling Shackleton's experiences.
