Usually a client will approach Anita Marquetry with a design or an idea in mind in which case a quote can be supplied immediately. We can work from a full size or to scale drawing, tracing, rubbing or computer files in .DXF, .PLT, .CDR or AI formats. Where there are no drawings or plans we can advise and help develop a design by drawing on our comprehensive reference library or by using elements from our design library.

The desired image is scanned into the computer and either traced in using an illustration package then exported into CAD or constructed directly in CAD depending on the type of design.

We use CAD for geometric while illustration packages are more suited to organic designs. When programming is completed the design is sent to the client for approval before being prepared for cutting.
